Background Information
ALKBH5, also named as ABH5 and OFOXD1, is a Dioxygenase that demethylates RNA by oxidative demethylation. It is a mammalian demethylase that oxidatively reverses m6A in mRNA in vitro and in vivo. ALKBH5 is required for spermatogenesis. There're some isoforms of ALKBH5 with MW 40-44 kDa and 52 kDa.

FH ANIRBAN (Verified Customer) (04-07-2021) | Tried to validate the antibody (AlkBH5) in two different cell lines (786-o, HK2) using three siRNA constructs from IDT. Using the Proteintech antibody, I didn't see any evedence of KD in the lysates (see the figure attached). When I used the Cell Signaling antibody for AlkBH5 (#80283) I observed a clear evedence of KD in the same lysates that I mentioned before. scr=scrambled; si-1,2,3=siRNAs targeting AlkBH5.
