Background Information
MAP3K4, also named as KIAA0213, MAPKKK4, MEKK4 and MTK1, belongs to the protein kinase superfamily, STE Ser/Thr protein kinase family and MAP kinase kinase kinase subfamily. MAP3K4 is a component of a protein kinase signal transduction cascade. MAP3K4 activates the CSBP2, P38 and JNK MAPK pathways, but not the ERK pathway. MAP3K4 specifically phosphorylates and activates MAP2K4 and MAP2K6. This antibody is specific to isoform1 and 2 of MAP3K4.
