  • Purity of GMP recombinant human IL-10 was determined by SDS- polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The protein was resolved in an SDS- polyacrylamide gel in reducing and non-reducing conditions and stained using Coomassie blue.

The EC50 was determined using a 4-parameter non-linear regression model. Activity determination was conducted in triplicate on a validated bioassay. The EC50 range is 0.18-2.0 ng/mL

Stability and Reconstitution

Stability and Storage Lyophilized proteins are stable for 1 year from the date of receipt if stored between (-20°C) and (-80°C). Upon reconstitution we recommend that the solution can be stored at (4°C) for short term or at (-20°C) to (-80°C) for long term. Repeated freeze thaw cycles should be avoided with reconstituted products.
Reconstitution Briefly centrifuge the vial before opening. It is recommended to reconstitute the protein to 0.2 mg/mL in sterile 1xPBS pH 7.4 containing 0.1% endotoxin-free recombinant human serum albumin (HSA). Gently swirl or tap vial to mix.

Background

IL-10 is a non-covalent homodimeric glycoprotein with an apparent molecular mass of 17 kDa. IL-10 is produced by a variety of mammalian cell types including T cells, B cells, macrophages, and keratinocytes monocytes. It is an anti-inflammatory cytokine with multiple roles in inflammation and immunoregulation (PMID: 19161426; 9162098).
