Background
Recombinant Human Transforming Growth Factor Beta-2 (TGF beta-2) is a multifunctional cytokine that plays a critical role in cardiac development, cell proliferation, and differentiation. It is widely used in the expansion and maintenance of pluripotent human embryonic stem cells (hESCs), making it essential for stem cell research, regenerative medicine, and cell and gene therapy (CGT) workflows. HumanKine TGF beta-2 is expressed in HEK293 human cells, ensuring authentic human post-translational modifications (PTMs) that enhance protein folding, stability, and biological activity compared to non-mammalian expression systems.
