Background Information

Advanced glycosylation end product-specific receptor (AGER, also known as RAGE) is a multiligand receptor of the immunoglobulin superfamily. It interacts with distinct molecules implicated in homeostasis, development, and inflammation, and certain diseases such as diabetes and Alzheimer disease.
