  • Western Blot (WB) analysis of various lysates using E2F4 Monoclonal antibody (67812-1-Ig)

    WB analysis using 67812-1-Ig (same clone as 67812-1-PBS)

    Various lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 67812-1-Ig (E2F4 antibody) at dilution of 1:10000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. The membrane was stripped and reblotted with HRP-conjugated Beta Actin Monoclonal antibody (HRP-66009) as loading control. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 67812-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Background Information

Transcription factor E2F4 (E2F4) is a transcription activator that binds DNA cooperatively with DP proteins through the E2 recognition site 5'-TTTC[CG]CGC-3' found in the promoter region of a number of genes whose products are involved in cell cycle regulation or in DNA replication. The DRTF1/E2F complex functions in the control of cell-cycle progression from G1 to S phase. E2F-4 binds with high affinity to RBL1 and RBL2. In some instances, can also bind RB protein.The observed molecular weight of 60-70 kDa is the phosphorylation of E2F4 protein.
